Pre-ballet and Tap – Ages 5-6

Children will learn basic ballet movement. They will dance and pretend as they act out stories using dance movement. We use a variety of music to enhance musical rhythms by clapping and listening, using stretching and improvisation while having lots of fun. Let us share our love of dance with your youngster.

Clothing Requirement: Girls: pink leotard (short sleeved, no attached skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black patent tap shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, socks and black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

Zumba Gold - Ages 18+

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art. This class will study basic and flowing exercises with the wooden sword (bokken) and 5 foot staff (Jo). The Founder's desire that Aikido teach harmonious blending rather than conflict is emphasized in this class. We will explore the body movement consistent with empty-handed aikido. All skill levels are welcome. No uniform or dogi is required. The instructor, Pete Breeland, with over 30 years of experience with Aiki buki-waza (Aiki weapons techniques), is ranked at 5th dan. This is a fantastic Moana themed camp for all levels of gymnasts, including beginners! Floor work bar skills and balance beam experience will get your child ready for the world of gymnastics! Students will also participate in dance and art throughout the week. The camp will culminate in a demonstration for families. No experience necessary. Please send your child in comfortable clothing and shoes (tennis shoes or ballet shoes). No flip flops. Please send a snack and water bottle each day.

Let’s build some early Spanish literacy skills during this week of Summer Spanish Immersion! We’ll use stories that introduce concepts and vocabulary that will link and repeat from one adventure to another so that your child gets continued reinforcement and practice. Familiarize, recognize and reinforce connections through activities that engage the use and response of students to one another and the group leader. All proficiency levels will benefit, whether they are taking the role of model or imitator.

Camp Cotati Counselor in Training (CIT) Program – Age 13-17

Dates: Beginning June 12, M-F 9:00am-3:00pm
Fee: $50/week
Location: Thomas Page Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall)
The CIT program is designed to prepare and train young adults to become future Camp Counselors. This training will provide the CIT with a hands-on practical experience laying the foundation for development of skills necessary to become a future Camp Counselor. The CIT will be working with children ages 5 to 12 years old. While this training is specific to summer camps, the CIT will find aspects of the training that may be applied to any job. Specifically, the CIT will learn the following: * How to plan and implement large and small group activities * How to manage small groups of children * Basic techniques of positive reinforcement and discipline * Basic techniques of behavior management.
CITs will be trained with the oversight of a City of Cotati employee and will be given the opportunity to grow and improve. While the City of Cotati does intend on training a CIT to become a future Camp Counselor, participation in the CIT program is in no way a guarantee for future employment. Please send your child with a lunch and snacks each day.

Let your children experience the magic of Camp Cotati! Each week will be based on a different theme with games, crafts, and fun going along with the theme. Themes may include Decades, Camp Cotati’s Greatest Hits, Camp Code 3 (Local Heroes), and more! Weekly walking field trips to La Plaza Park and daily outdoor activities will keep your child active. We will also have local guests throughout the summer. Please send your child with a lunch and snacks each day.

British Soccer Camp – Ages 5-12

Monday to Friday inclusive. This is our most popular camp program and will feature individual skill development, core techniques, one on one skills, freestyle soccer, small sided games and our Camp World Cup. The Half Day Camp is suitable for all skill levels and the campers will be separated by age. Campers will also spend time learning about Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship & Leadership. Free soccer ball and t-shirt with registration!

Shorter, daily sessions from Monday to Friday inclusive. This innovative program, created by childcare specialists, introduces children to the very basic skills of soccer in a fun, progressive and caring manner. First Kicks activities will include running, turning, stopping, jumping, kicking, throwing and catching. Each day we will aim to help improve balance, agility, coordination, social skills and cognitive ability. Your child's confidence and enthusiasm for the game will grow during our fun soccer challenges! Parental involvement is welcomed! Free soccer ball and t-shirt with registration!

Skyhawks Lacrosse Camp – Ages 6-12

Lacrosse combines basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced game. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Sticks, Gloves and Helmet are provided. All participants receive a t-shirt, and a player evaluation. Participant-to-coach ratio is 12:1

Dive into the Hawaiian oceans with this fun musical theatre camp. Students will build props, sets, and work to create a fun theatre performance for children and families. This camp is perfect for folks who have never performed before as well as experienced performers. Let's make some amazing theatre together with STAR Kids!

Tap into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer-designed projects such as Boats, Snowmobiles, Catapults, and Merry-Go-Rounds. Then use special pieces to create your own unique design! New and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. There is no prerequisite for this course.

STEM Challenge with LEGO® - Ages 7-12

Power on your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply realworld concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Catapults, Pneumatic Cranes, Arch Bridges, and Battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level. There is no prerequisite for this course.

Exploring the Alpine Countries -
Departing September 9, 2017 – 13 days, 17 meals

Discover storybook castles and glittering palaces amidst stunning Alpine vistas as you explore Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Begin in Vienna with a visit to Schoenbrunn Palace. Islands of New England -

Breakfast with Santa

Come enjoy a great breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and drinks. Then spend time making crafts in Santa's Workshop and visiting with the Big Guy himself. Don't forget your camera for the photo op!
