Pre-ballet and Tap – Ages 3-4

Instructor: Petaluma School of Ballet Staff

Children will learn basic ballet movement. They will dance and pretend as they act out stories using dance movement. We use a variety of music to enhance musical rhythms by clapping and listening, using stretching and improvisation while having lots of fun. Let us share our love of dance with your youngster. Clothing Requirement: Girls: pink leotard (short sleeved, no attached skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black patent tap shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, socks and black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

They will also use dance to pretend as they act out stories using dance movement. Clothing Requirement: Girls: lavender leotard (short sleeved, no attached skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, socks and black ballet slippers.

Skyhawks multi-sport programs are tailored to your child's age and skill level while teaching life lessons such as respect and teamwork. Boys and girls age 5-9 years will learn the rules and essential skills of Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball.

Get moving at your own pace. Zumba Gold is a Latin dance inspired fitness class that is specially modified for the beginner or the active, older adult. We'll get your whole body moving with low-impact, easy-to-follow steps set to international dance music. Zumba Gold is a fun cardio workout that also incorporates toning and balance. Please wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing.

This class is separate from the above Zumba Gold class and is provided by the Santa Rosa Junior College, Older Adult Program. Get moving at your own pace. Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art. This class will study basic and flowing exercises with the wooden sword (bokken) and 5 foot staff (Jo). The Founder's desire that Aikido teach harmonious blending rather than conflict is emphasized in this class. We will explore the body movement consistent with empty-handed aikido. All skill levels are welcome. No uniform or dogi is required. The instructor, Pete Breeland, with over 30 years of experience with Aiki buki-waza (Aiki weapons techniques), is ranked at 5th dan. Camps

Camp Cotati PJ Party– Ages 5-12

Does your child have the day off from school but you still have to work? Have no fear, Camp Cotati PJ Party is here! We will have a fun day filled with games, crafts, outside activities (weather permitting), and plenty of play! Campers are welcome to wear PJ’s to camp but please send them with shoes they can be active in. Please send a lunch and snacks with your child.

Camp Cotati Thanksgiving Break Camp – Ages 5-12

Let your children experience the magic of Camp Cotati! Each day will include different games, crafts, and outdoor play (weather permitting). The week will focus on all we have to be thankful for! Please send your child with a lunch and snacks each day.

Camp Cotati Winter Break Camp – Ages 5-12

Dates: December 26-29, M-Th 7:30am-6:00pm
January 2-5, M-F 7:30am-6:00pm
Fee: $100/week, $35/day drop in

National Night Out

6:00pm – BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs for sale, supporting the Recreation Department, followed by a free movie in the park National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The National Night Out program culminates annually on the first Tuesday of August. Please join the Cotati Police Department and City of Cotati Recreation Department on Tuesday, August 1st for our second National Night Out! Come meet your police officers and other City staff at this FREE event and enjoy our beautiful La Plaza Park!
